LZ4 ضاغط/مفك ضغط
Compress and decompress data using the LZ4 algorithm directly in your browser. LZ4 is one of the fastest lossless compression algorithms, prioritizing speed over compression ratio — ideal for real-time data processing, log compression, and streaming applications.
كيف تستعمل
Select the operation mode — Compress or Decompress. Paste your text into the input area or upload a file using the file uploader. Click Process to run the LZ4 algorithm. View compression statistics including ratio, size reduction, and processing time. Download the result or copy it directly from the output area.

التعليمات
What is LZ4 compression and how does it differ from other algorithms?
LZ4 is a lossless compression algorithm that belongs to the LZ77 family. It prioritizes compression and decompression speed over compression ratio. While algorithms like Gzip or Brotli achieve better compression ratios, LZ4 can compress at speeds exceeding 500 MB/s and decompress at over 1 GB/s, making it ideal for scenarios where speed matters more than file size reduction.
When should LZ4 be used instead of Gzip or Zstandard?
LZ4 is best suited for real-time applications where latency is critical — such as database storage engines, log file compression, network packet compression, and in-memory caching. Gzip offers better compression ratios for file archiving, while Zstandard provides a middle ground between speed and ratio. Choose LZ4 when decompression speed is the primary concern.
Is LZ4 compression suitable for archiving large files?
LZ4 is not the optimal choice for long-term archiving where storage space is the main concern. Its compression ratio typically ranges from 2:1 to 3:1, compared to 5:1 or higher with algorithms like LZMA or Brotli. However, LZ4 excels in scenarios requiring frequent compression and decompression cycles, such as database snapshots or real-time data pipelines.
What is the LZ4 frame format?
The LZ4 frame format is a container format that wraps LZ4-compressed data with metadata including checksums, content size hints, and block configuration. It enables streaming decompression and provides data integrity verification. The frame format is the standard way to store and transmit LZ4-compressed data, as opposed to raw LZ4 block compression which lacks these safety features.
