Routing Number Generator
Generate valid US ABA routing numbers for testing and development. Each generated number follows the correct 9-digit format with a properly calculated check digit, making them suitable for validating payment processing systems, testing bank integrations, and populating test databases.
Cómo utilizar
Set the number of routing numbers to generate (1–50), optionally select a specific Federal Reserve District or leave it on Random. Click Generar to create valid routing numbers. Each number passes the ABA checksum algorithm. Copy results to your clipboard or download as a text file.

Preguntas frecuentes
-
What is the structure of an ABA routing number?
An ABA routing number is a 9-digit code that identifies US financial institutions. The first two digits indicate the Federal Reserve District (01-12). The third digit identifies the Federal Reserve check processing center. The fourth digit indicates the Fed region. Digits 5-8 identify the specific institution. The ninth digit is a check digit calculated using a weighted algorithm to detect transcription errors.

How does the ABA check digit algorithm work?
The check digit is calculated using a weighted sum: multiply digits at positions 1, 4, and 7 by 7; digits at positions 2, 5, and 8 by 3; and digits at positions 3 and 6 by 9. Sum all products and take the result modulo 10. This produces the check digit at position 9. The algorithm catches most single-digit errors and transposition errors in routing numbers.

What are the 12 Federal Reserve Districts?
The US Federal Reserve System is divided into 12 districts: 01-Boston, 02-New York, 03-Philadelphia, 04-Cleveland, 05-Richmond, 06-Atlanta, 07-Chicago, 08-St. Louis, 09-Minneapolis, 10-Kansas City, 11-Dallas, and 12-San Francisco. Each district processes checks and payments for banks in its region, and the first two digits of a routing number identify which district a bank belongs to.
