What is the difference between SHA-2 and SHA-3?
SHA-2 and SHA-3 are both part of the Secure Hash Algorithm family but use fundamentally different internal constructions. SHA-2 uses the Merkle-Damgård structure, while SHA-3 uses the Keccak sponge construction.
