Cara Penggunaan
1. Enter your clock-in and clock-out times for each shift. The calculator starts with five weekday entries by default — add or remove shifts as needed.
2. Set the break duration in minutes for each shift. The break time is automatically subtracted from total worked hours.
3. Choose your overtime rule: daily threshold (over 8 or 10 hours per day) or weekly threshold (over 40 hours per week). Select “None” if overtime does not apply.
4. Enter your hourly rate and overtime multiplier (default 1.5x) to see gross pay calculations. Leave hourly rate empty if you only need hour totals.
5. Click Calculate to see the full breakdown. Export the timesheet as a CSV file for your records.

Tanya Jawab Umum
-
What is the standard overtime threshold in the United States?
Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), non-exempt employees must receive overtime pay at 1.5 times their regular rate for all hours worked beyond 40 in a single workweek. Some states like California also enforce a daily overtime threshold of 8 hours.
-
How are break periods typically handled in work hour calculations?
Unpaid breaks (usually meal breaks of 30 minutes or longer) are subtracted from total hours worked. Short rest breaks of 5 to 20 minutes are generally considered compensable work time under federal labor law and should not be deducted.
-
What is the difference between daily and weekly overtime calculation?
Daily overtime triggers when a single shift exceeds a set number of hours (commonly 8 or 10). Weekly overtime triggers when total hours across an entire workweek exceed a threshold (commonly 40 hours). The method used depends on local labor regulations.
-
What does time-and-a-half mean for overtime pay?
Time-and-a-half means the overtime hourly rate is 1.5 times the regular hourly rate. For example, if your regular rate is $20 per hour, overtime pay would be $30 per hour. Some jurisdictions require double time (2x) for hours beyond a second threshold.
