It's built for the honest uses of a mock tweet: slide decks, design comps, memes and parody, thumbnails, teaching material about misinformation, and previewing a post before you publish it.

How to use it

1. Enter the display name and @handle, and switch on Verified account if you want the blue check.
2. Optionally upload an avatar — leave it empty and a neutral placeholder is drawn instead.
3. Write the tweet text. @mentions, #hashtags and https://links are highlighted in Twitter blue automatically, and long text wraps to the card.
4. Optionally attach an image below the text.
5. Pick the background (light, dim or dark), a date, and the replies / retweets / likes / views counts — big numbers are shortened the way X does it (1200 → 1.2K).
6. Download the card, or copy the SVG source.

What format is the generated tweet?

An SVG — a vector image that stays sharp at any size. Any uploaded avatar or attached photo is embedded inside the file, so it is completely self-contained and works offline. Need a PNG? Open the SVG in your browser and screenshot it, or export it from any vector editor.

Do my images get uploaded anywhere?

No. The avatar and the attached image are read inside your browser and embedded straight into the SVG — they are never sent to a server, never stored, and never seen by anyone but you. The same is true of the name, handle and tweet text. Close the tab and nothing remains.

Does it look exactly like a real tweet?

Close, but not pixel-perfect. The layout, colours, badge and number formatting follow X's card, but the text is drawn in a standard system font rather than X's proprietary Chirp typeface. For a mockup, a meme or a slide it reads as a tweet; as a forgery it would not survive inspection, which is on purpose.

Is it legal to make a fake tweet?

Parody, satire, commentary, education and design mockups are broadly fine. Passing a generated image off as a real post is not — depending on what it says and who it targets, that can amount to defamation, fraud or harassment, and it violates our terms of use. Don't impersonate a real person or brand, don't use a card to spread misinformation or harass anyone, and make it clear to your audience that the image isn't real.

Can I generate a fake tweet with a verified badge?

Yes — tick Verified account and the blue check appears beside the display name. It's a drawing, not a claim: the same rules above apply.

Why does my long tweet wrap oddly?

Line breaks are calculated from an estimated character width rather than measured glyph by glyph, so very wide or narrow text can wrap a word earlier than X would. Add your own line breaks if you need exact control.
