Cloud Bandwidth Cost Estimator
Estimate monthly egress bandwidth costs across AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean and Backblaze B2 using tiered list pricing, with a side-by-side cost comparison.
Input
Optional — extra free GB included in your plan (added to the provider's standard free tier).

What does this tool estimate?
Cloud providers charge for outbound data transfer ("egress") using tiered pricing — the per-GB rate drops as your usage climbs past certain thresholds, and most providers include a small free allowance every month. This tool estimates your monthly egress bill on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, and Backblaze B2 using each provider's published list pricing, and shows how they compare for the same usage.
How this tool works
- Pick a provider and enter your monthly egress in GB, TB, or PB.
- Optionally add a free allowance override if your plan includes more free egress than the provider's standard allotment.
The Tier Breakdown table shows exactly how your usage is billed against the selected provider's tiers — how much falls in the free tier, and how much is billed at each successive rate. The Provider Comparison table ranks all six providers by estimated monthly cost for the same usage, so you can see at a glance who's cheapest.
Why the numbers vary so much
Cloudflare's R2/Workers/Pages products charge zero egress fees — the biggest single differentiator in this comparison — while hyperscalers like AWS, GCP, and Azure charge tiered per-GB rates that only decrease at very high volumes (tens to hundreds of terabytes per month). DigitalOcean and Backblaze B2 sit in between, with generous free tiers relative to typical small-project traffic.
This is an estimate, not a quote
Pricing here reflects standard published list rates for internet egress to public destinations. Actual bills vary by region, committed-use discounts, CDN caching in front of your origin, intra-region/same-cloud transfer (often free or discounted), and negotiated enterprise pricing — always confirm against your provider's current pricing page before budgeting.
Common uses
- Estimating hosting costs before choosing a cloud provider or CDN
- Comparing egress costs across providers for a media-heavy or high-traffic site
- Budgeting for a spike in bandwidth from a product launch or viral post
- Understanding how tiered pricing thresholds affect your bill as usage grows
