Share Links Generator

Build the "share this page" URLs that social networks expect — for Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, WhatsApp, Telegram, Tumblr, Weibo, VKontakte and plain email — without embedding a single third-party share widget.

A share link is just a URL with the right query parameters. Point a normal <a href="…"> at one and you get a share button that costs zero JavaScript, sets no cookies, and cannot track your visitors. This generator assembles and correctly percent-encodes those URLs for you.

How to use it

1. Leave the Platform selector on All supported platforms, enter the URL of the page you want shared, and you get a link for every network at once.
2. Or pick a single platform to reveal the extra fields it supports — a tweet's text, a Pinterest thumbnail and description, a LinkedIn title/summary/source, a Reddit title, a WhatsApp phone number, or an email's recipient, subject, CC, BCC and body.
3. Copy the generated URL and drop it straight into an href.

How do I make the link open in a popup instead of a new tab?

Use a plain link with target="_blank" rel="noopener" — that is enough for most cases. If you specifically want the small centred window, call window.open(url, "share", "width=600,height=500") on click. Every network accepts both.

Why do some networks ignore my custom text?

Facebook is the main one: it deliberately ignores any pre-filled message and scrapes the title, description and image from the target page's Open Graph tags instead. If your Facebook share preview looks wrong, fix the og:title, og:description and og:image meta tags on the page — the share URL cannot override them. LinkedIn and X also prefer a page's own metadata where it exists.

What is the mini=true parameter on the LinkedIn link?

It is a legacy flag LinkedIn's shareArticle endpoint still requires. It is included automatically.

How should I format the WhatsApp phone number?

Digits only, with the country code, e.g. +15551234567 for the US or +61… for Australia. Leave the phone number blank to get a "share to anyone" link that lets the sender pick a contact.

Can I add UTM tracking to a share link?

Yes — build the tracked URL first with the Campaign URL Builder, then paste that tracked URL in here as the URL to share. The share link will carry the UTM parameters through, correctly encoded.

Is any of this sent to a server?

No. The links are assembled in your browser from the values you type. Nothing is uploaded, logged or stored, and no network is contacted until you click the finished link.
