TIFF to SVG Converter

API reference

Convert a TIFF image to a scalable SVG. Upload a .tif or .tiff file and it is traced into vector paths you can copy or download — entirely in your browser, no upload required.

Input

Drop a file or browse
One file · TIFF

A .tif or .tiff file (first page is used). Processed locally in your browser — the file is never uploaded.

Presets that trade off detail, curve fitting and color count.

Fewer colors give a simpler, smaller SVG; more colors keep finer detail.

Output

Preview

Upload a TIFF file to see its vectorized image.

Guides

A TIFF is a raster image — a grid of pixels. SVG is made of vector paths. Converting one to the other means tracing: the tool groups similar-colored pixels into regions and fits vector paths around each region's outline.

How to use it

  1. Upload a .tif or .tiff file (the first page is used for multi-page TIFFs).
  2. Pick a tracing style and color count.
  3. The traced SVG appears instantly. Copy the code or download the file.

What works best

Tracing suits flat-color graphics — scanned logos, icons, line art, diagrams. Photos and smooth gradients trace into very large, busy SVGs because every subtle color shift becomes its own region. Lower the color count or choose the Posterized style to get a smaller file.

If you only need a different raster format, use TIFF to PDF. For a raster source in another format, see SVG Converter.

Is this private?

Yes. The TIFF is decoded and traced entirely in your browser — the file is never uploaded to a server.

Why does conversion fail on my file?

Very unusual TIFF variants (some exotic compressions or color spaces) can't be decoded in the browser. Re-save the file as a standard uncompressed or LZW TIFF, then try again. Files over 100 megapixels are rejected to keep your browser responsive.

Is the result an exact vector copy?

No — this is automatic tracing, not manual redrawing. It is built for quickly getting a workable SVG, not production-quality path cleanup.
