The title is the last thing a listener reads before they press play and the first thing they'll search for afterwards — and it's often the hardest line in the whole song to write. This generator produces song titles tuned to your material: feed it your lyrics, a mood or a genre and it hands back catchy, memorable titles that fit the track, each with a short note on where the idea came from, so you can see which ones actually connect to the song and which just sound good.

How to use it

Length sets the style. Short titles (one or two words — "Undertow", "Paper Crown") read as modern and streaming-friendly. Longer titles (a full phrase pulled from a lyric) read as narrative or throwback, the kind that tells you what the song is about before it starts.

Complexity decides how oblique the titles get. Simple gives you direct, on-the-nose titles. Elaborate reaches for metaphor, wordplay and titles that don't appear anywhere in the lyrics but capture the feeling — riskier, but where the memorable ones often come from.

The extra context box is where this tool earns its keep — this is where your song goes. Paste in whatever you have:

  • a chorus or a verse: "lyrics: 'we were static on the radio, fading as we go...'"
  • a mood and genre: "melancholy indie-folk, about leaving a small town"
  • a theme: "upbeat pop song about starting over after a breakup"
  • an anti-brief: "instrumental synthwave, no vocals, want an evocative title"

How do I feed my lyrics or mood to the generator?

Put them in the extra-context box, as specifically as you can. The titles get dramatically better when the model has real material to react to: a line of the chorus, the emotional arc, the genre, even a colour or an image the song keeps returning to. "Sad song" gives generic results; pasting the actual hook gives you titles that pick up its phrasing and imagery.

Should the title be a line from the song?

Both approaches work and the generator offers each. Pulling the title from a memorable lyric (often the hook) ties it tightly to the song and helps listeners connect the two. An oblique title that names the feeling rather than quoting the words can be more intriguing and is easier to keep unique. Generate a batch and you'll usually get some of each — pick by which the song can carry.

Can I use these titles freely?

Yes, and song titles are a special case: titles generally aren't protected by copyright at all, which is why multiple songs can legitimately share one. So a generated title is free to use. The only practical caveat is discoverability — if you pick a title already carried by a famous track, your song competes with it in every search and playlist, so it's worth a quick search before you commit.
