BLAKE2 Hash Generator
Generate a BLAKE2b, BLAKE2s or BLAKE3 hash of any text, in hexadecimal or base64, with optional keyed mode and expected-hash verification.
Input
Keyed (MAC) mode, UTF-8. BLAKE2b allows up to 64 bytes, BLAKE2s up to 32, BLAKE3 exactly 32.
Hex comparison is case-insensitive; base64 is case-sensitive.
Output
Only shown when an expected hash is provided.

Guides
Generate a BLAKE2b, BLAKE2s or BLAKE3 hash of any text in your browser. Choose hex or base64 output, optionally add a key for keyed (MAC) mode, and paste an expected hash to verify it. Nothing leaves your device.
The algorithms
- BLAKE2b — 512-bit digest, optimized for 64-bit platforms. Faster than MD5 and SHA-2 while being as secure as SHA-3.
- BLAKE2s — 256-bit digest, optimized for 8–32-bit platforms.
- BLAKE3 — 256-bit digest, a newer, highly parallel design derived from BLAKE2.
Keyed mode
Entering a key turns the hash into a MAC. BLAKE2b accepts keys up to 64 bytes, BLAKE2s up to 32 bytes, and BLAKE3 requires exactly 32 bytes (UTF-8 encoded).
How to use
- Enter your message.
- Choose an algorithm and output format.
- Optionally set a key and an expected hash.
- Copy or download the result.
Is BLAKE2 safe for passwords?
No. It is a fast general-purpose hash; for passwords use a slow KDF such as Argon2 or bcrypt.
