How to use it
- Upload the first PDF and the PDF you want to compare it against.
- Click Compare PDFs. Each file's embedded text is extracted page by page and diffed against the other.
- Read the result: unchanged text appears once, removed words are struck through, and added words are underlined — right where they occur, so you don't have to scan two separate copies of the document.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Both PDFs are read and their text extracted with your browser's own pdf.js engine, and the diff itself runs in your browser too — nothing you upload ever leaves your device.
What exactly gets compared?
The extracted text of every page, in order, with a --- Page N --- marker before each page so you can tell which page a change is on. Page layout, images, fonts and formatting aren't compared — only the text content.
What if my PDF is a scan?
A scanned PDF has no embedded text to extract, so there's nothing to diff. Run it through Scanned PDF Converter first to OCR it, then compare the results.
