How to use it
- Drop or choose a JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP image.
- Drag the circle size slider — it's a percentage of the image's smaller dimension, so 100% gives you the largest circle that fits.
- Once the circle is smaller than 100%, drag the circle itself to slide it around (or focus it and use the arrow keys — Shift for a bigger step). A full-size circle is already centered, so dragging only does something once you've shrunk it.
- Optionally switch Background to Solid color to fill the square corners outside the circle instead of leaving them transparent, and flip on Colored ring for an avatar-style frame around the circle's edge.
- The preview updates automatically as you adjust settings. Press Download when it looks right.
The result always downloads as PNG, since PNG is the only common format that can represent the transparent corners left outside the circle — a JPEG would fill them with a solid color instead (which is exactly what the Solid color background option gives you, if that's what you want).
Private by default
Cropping happens entirely on a <canvas> element in your browser, using its
2D clipping path. The image is never uploaded anywhere, and nothing is
stored once you leave the page.
What's the colored ring for?
It stamps a solid-color ring right on the circle's edge — the classic "avatar with a frame" look — without needing a second image editor pass.
What if I need a square or custom-shape crop instead?
