Google Review Link Generator
Turn a Google Place ID — or any Google Maps URL containing one — into a direct 'write a review' link that opens the review box in one click. Also generates read-reviews and Maps links, a copy-paste HTML button, and a scannable QR code, entirely in your browser.
Input
Paste the bare Place ID, a Google Maps share link, or anything with place_id in it — the ID is pulled out automatically.
Used for the Maps search link and the wording of the HTML button.
Higher levels survive more smudging and scuffing, at the cost of a denser code.

Guides
Turn a Google Place ID into a link that opens the "Rate and review" box directly, with the star selector already on screen. Without it, asking a customer for a review means asking them to search for your business, find the right listing, scroll past the photos and hunt for the review button — and most of them stop somewhere in the middle.
How to use it
- Paste your Google Place ID, or just paste a Google Maps link for the business — the ID is extracted for you.
- Optionally add the business name and the wording you want on the button.
- Copy the write-a-review link, the HTML button, or download the QR code as an SVG for print.
Finding your Place ID
Open Google's Place ID Finder, search for your business, and copy the ID from the info window. It is a long string that usually starts with ChIJ. You can also paste a Maps URL that contains place_id= or ?q=place_id: and this tool will pull the ID out of it.
What each link does
| Link | What happens when it opens |
|---|---|
| Write a review | The Google review dialog for your business, star rating ready |
| Read all reviews | Your full review list, useful for embedding as social proof |
| Place on Google Maps | The business's Maps listing |
| Maps search link | A Maps search anchored to your exact place, so no near-duplicate listing can win |
My link is a cid= number, not a Place ID
That is a Customer ID — a different, older identifier that appears in some Maps and Search URLs. The write-a-review endpoint takes a Place ID, so use the Place ID Finder above to get the ChIJ… form.
Can I get one of those short g.page/r/… links?
Not from a Place ID. Google generates the short review link inside your Google Business Profile ("Ask for reviews" → "Share review form"), using an identifier only Google holds. The search.google.com/local/writereview link this tool builds opens exactly the same review box and does not expire.
Is my Place ID sent anywhere?
No. Every link, the HTML snippet and the QR code are built in your browser — nothing is uploaded, and no third-party QR service ever sees the link.
