Convert an Adobe Photoshop PSD file into a downloadable PDF. Upload a .psd, pick a page size and background color, and its composited layers are converted to a PDF you can download — entirely in your browser, no upload to a server required.
Input
A .psd (or .psb) file with its layers flattened, saved with "Maximize Compatibility" on. Processed locally in your browser — the file is never uploaded.
A PDF page has no transparency — any transparent areas in the PSD are filled with this color.
Higher quality preserves more detail but produces a larger file.
“Fit to image” makes the page exactly the size of the PSD's canvas.

A Photoshop .psd file isn't something you can hand someone as a PDF — it's a project file, made of layers, masks, and adjustment data that only Photoshop (or a handful of other design tools) can open. This tool reads a PSD's flattened composite — what the file looks like with every layer merged together, exactly as it appears in Photoshop — and converts it into a downloadable PDF.
How to use it
- Upload a
.psd(or.psb) file. - Pick a quality and, if the design has transparent areas, a background color.
- Optionally open Page options to choose a page size (fit-to-image, A4, or US Letter), orientation, and margin.
- Click Convert to PDF and download the result.
Why "fit to image"?
By default the PDF page is exactly the size of the PSD's canvas, so nothing is cropped, letterboxed, or stretched. Switch to A4 or US Letter if you need a standard print size instead.
Quality and background color
The flattened composite is JPEG-encoded before being placed on the PDF page — quality trades file size for detail, and 90 is a good default. A PDF page has no transparency, so any transparent or partially-transparent areas in the PSD are filled with the background color you choose (white by default) instead of staying see-through.
Is this private?
Yes. The PSD is decoded and the PDF is built entirely in your browser — the file is never uploaded to a server, and this tool is free (no credits). (The public API and MCP versions run the identical conversion in our own request handler, only when you call them directly.)
Why is my output blank or missing layers?
This tool reads the PSD's saved composite image, not its individual layers — the same flattened preview Photoshop shows in its layers thumbnail. If a file was saved without "Maximize Compatibility" enabled (Edit → Preferences → File Handling in Photoshop), it may not include that composite at all, and conversion will fail. Photoshop has this on by default, so it only affects files saved with non-default settings.
What color modes are supported?
RGB, Grayscale, Bitmap, and Indexed color PSDs all convert correctly. CMYK, Lab, and Multichannel files aren't currently supported — convert the document to RGB color mode in Photoshop (Image → Mode → RGB Color) first.
