Resize Video
Scale a video down to 1080p, 720p, 480p or smaller while keeping its aspect ratio — preview and download. Runs entirely in your browser; the video is never uploaded.
Input
The height follows the original aspect ratio. Videos smaller than the chosen width keep their size.
Higher bitrate = sharper picture, bigger file. The video is re-encoded in real time, so conversion takes as long as the clip.
MP4 video
Upload a video video, pick a quality and press Resize video. Everything runs in your browser — the file is never uploaded.

What Resize Video does
Scale a video down to a smaller resolution — 1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p or 240p — without distorting it. Smaller dimensions mean a lighter file that is easier to email, upload or embed. It runs in your browser, so the video is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Upload a video.
- Pick the output width. The height is worked out from the original aspect ratio.
- Pick a video quality, click Resize video, preview the result, then download it.
Good to know
Videos are never enlarged: if your clip is narrower than the width you pick, it keeps its own size. The audio is kept. Your browser plays and re-records the video, so it takes about as long as the clip — keep the tab open. If the browser can't record MP4, it saves WebM instead and says so.
