Guides

The Username Generator turns a single word, name, or interest into dozens of unique, ready-to-use usernames. Enter a base word like wolf, sarah, or music, pick a style and a target platform, and get a grid of handles you can copy in one click — no sign-up, and everything runs in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Enter a base word or keyword. This is the seed for every suggestion. Letters and numbers work best; spaces and symbols are stripped automatically.
  2. Choose a platform. "Any Platform" gives the widest results. Selecting a specific network — Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Discord, Gaming, Twitch, GitHub, or YouTube — filters and sanitizes every suggestion to that platform's character limit and allowed characters.
  3. Pick a style. From Cool, Funny, Professional, and Aesthetic to Gaming/Leet, Dark, Cute, Retro, and Minimal — or leave it on "All Styles" for a broad mix.
  4. Set the options. Toggle numbers and underscores/dots on or off, and cap the maximum length.
  5. Click Generate usernames. Press it again any time for a fresh batch. Copy the whole list or download it as a text file from the results toolbar.

How the names are built

The generator combines your keyword with several naming techniques drawn from real handle patterns:

  • Adjective + Keyword and Keyword + NounSwiftWolf, WolfBlade
  • CamelCase compounds — WolfThunder
  • Prefix / SuffixtheWolf, wolfgg, xXWolfXx
  • Portmanteau blends — mixing your word with cool syllables
  • Alliterative pairs that share your word's first letter
  • Reversed spellings — flow from wolf
  • Keyword + Number — years and lucky numbers, when numbers are enabled
  • Underscored variants — the_wolf, wolf.exe, when separators are enabled
  • Leet Speakw0lf, for the Gaming/Leet style
  • Aesthetic decorators — ✦wolf✦, for the Aesthetic style on "Any Platform"

Results are deduplicated, validated against your chosen platform's rules, shuffled, and trimmed to the best set.

Platform character limits

Each platform enforces its own rules, which the generator applies automatically:

  • Twitter/X — up to 15 characters; letters, numbers, underscores
  • Instagram — up to 30; letters, numbers, underscores, periods
  • TikTok — up to 24; letters, numbers, underscores, periods
  • Reddit — 3–20; letters, numbers, underscores, hyphens
  • Discord — 2–32; letters, numbers, underscores, periods
  • GitHub — up to 39; letters, numbers, hyphens (no consecutive hyphens)
  • Twitch — up to 25; letters, numbers, underscores
  • YouTube — up to 30; letters, numbers, underscores, periods

Tips for a memorable username

Keep it short (6–15 characters is easy to recall), make it pronounceable, and try to use the same handle across every platform so people can find you. Avoid excessive numbers and anything tied to your age or a passing trend. Once you find one you like, check its availability on each network and claim it everywhere.

Is my input private?

Yes. Username generation happens entirely in your browser — your keyword is never uploaded or stored.
