The general-purpose randomizer: paste any list — names, options, tasks, restaurants, anything — and either pick random entries from it or shuffle the whole thing. When you can't decide, let chance decide.

How to use it

  1. Enter your items, one per line (or upload a .txt file).
  2. Choose a mode: Pick random items (and how many) or Shuffle the whole list.
  3. Optionally remove duplicates first, then hit Randomize.

Picks are drawn without replacement — one run never returns the same line twice — and shuffling uses a Fisher–Yates shuffle, so every ordering is equally likely.

This is the generic tool of the random-generator family — for specific jobs (numbers, names, teams, birthdays, movies…) there's a dedicated child generator with the right options and data built in; they're all listed in the Child tools section below.

Is the randomness fair?

Yes — picks and shuffles give every item and every ordering an equal chance. Note that duplicate lines increase an item's odds in pick mode; tick Remove duplicated items for a strict one-entry-one-chance draw.

Does it work offline / is my data private?

Everything runs in your browser — your list never leaves your device, and uploaded files are read locally. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
