APNG Maker

Turn a batch of photos into an animated PNG (.apng), entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — decoding your images and building the APNG file both happen on your device.

How to use it

1. Upload two or more images (drag to reorder, or use the arrows next to each file to set the play order).
2. Set the frame delay (how long each image stays on screen) and the max width (every frame is scaled down, never up, to fit).
3. Pick a quality mode — Lossless keeps every pixel exact; Smaller file quantizes to a 256-color palette, closer to a GIF's own color limit.
4. Press Create APNG, then download the result.

Why APNG instead of GIF?

APNG supports full 24-bit color plus real alpha transparency (partial/semi-transparent pixels, not just all-or-nothing), so photos with soft shadows, gradients or transparent backgrounds come through clean instead of banded or fringed. It's supported natively in every modern browser.

Mismatched image sizes

The first image sets the canvas size. Every other image is scaled down (never up) to fit inside it, keeping its own aspect ratio, and centered on a white background — so a batch of differently-sized photos still produces one clean APNG.

Lossless vs. smaller file

• Lossless (default): every frame is encoded as full truecolor RGBA — the exact pixels from your photos, no quantization.
• Smaller file: each frame is quantized to a 256-color palette, producing a much smaller APNG at a small quality cost.
