AVI to MP3
Extract the audio from a AVI video and save it as MP3 — choose the bitrate, preview the result, and download. Runs entirely in your browser; the video is never uploaded.
Input
Higher bitrate = better quality, bigger file. 128–192 kbps suits most music; 64–96 kbps is fine for speech.
MP3 audio
Upload a AVI file, pick a bitrate and press Convert to MP3. Everything runs in your browser — the file is never uploaded.

What AVI to MP3 does
AVI is an older video container that still turns up in camcorder footage and downloaded clips, and often you only want the sound. Upload your AVI file, pick an MP3 bitrate, and download just the soundtrack as a standard MP3. The conversion happens in your browser — your file is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Upload a AVI file.
- Choose a bitrate (128–192 kbps suits most music, 64–96 kbps is fine for speech) and optionally mix down to mono.
- Click Convert to MP3, preview the result, then download it.
Good to know
The audio track is decoded by your browser's built-in decoder, so if your browser can play the file's sound, it can convert it. Some browsers can't decode certain AVI audio codecs (for example AC3 or old MP3-in-AVI variants); in that case re-save the video with AAC audio first. Long videos are decoded fully in memory, so very large files may be slow on low-memory devices.
Privacy
Decoding and MP3 encoding both run on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
