What this does
Turns a solid background colour — usually white — into real transparency and gives you a PNG with an alpha channel. It is a colour-key, not an AI cutout, so it works best on logos, icons, signatures, scans and product shots shot against a flat background.
How to use it
- Upload an image (PNG, JPG, WebP…).
- Click the preview to pick the background colour, or leave the auto-detected corner colour.
- Raise Tolerance until the background disappears; use Edge softness to feather the border and avoid jagged halos.
- Choose Edges only to clear just the background connected to the image border (keeps matching colours inside the subject), or turn it off to clear every matching pixel.
- Download the transparent PNG.
Everything runs in your browser — your image is never uploaded. For photos with busy backgrounds, use the AI Background Remover instead.
