What MP4 to MOV does
Turn an MP4 into a QuickTime MOV for Final Cut, iMovie or a Mac workflow. The conversion runs in your browser, so the video is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Upload a MP4 file.
- Pick a video quality (bitrate).
- Click Convert to MOV, preview the result, then download it.
Good to know
Your browser plays the video and re-records it, so conversion takes about as long as the clip itself — keep the tab open. The output is H.264 video with AAC audio in a QuickTime-compatible container. Browsers that cannot record MP4 (Firefox, for example) save a WebM instead and say so. Re-encoding is lossy, so choose a higher quality for sharp footage.

Playback and encoding happen on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
