How do I use it?

Open the tool and the report fills in immediately — no button to press, no fields to fill in. Resize the window or go offline and the affected rows update automatically. Click Copy all as text to copy every field as plain text, ready to paste into a support ticket, a bug report, or a forum post asking for help.

What's included?

• Browser — parsed browser name and version, layout/rendering engine, preferred language(s), timezone, cookie-enabled status, and online state.
• Operating system & device — parsed OS name and version, device type (desktop, mobile or tablet), and device vendor/model where the user agent exposes one.
• Screen & window — screen resolution, current viewport (window) size, color depth, and device pixel ratio.
• Raw user agent — the exact navigator.userAgent string your browser sent, in case you need the unparsed source value too.

Why do the browser and OS come out differently than I expected?

Browser and OS detection is based entirely on parsing the user agent string your browser chooses to report — and most browsers deliberately understate or "freeze" parts of that string for privacy reasons (Chrome's User-Agent Reduction, Safari's fixed strings, and so on). If a value looks off, it's usually the browser being intentionally vague, not a parsing bug.

How is this different from Device Information?

They read overlapping browser state but answer different questions. Device Information reports your browser's raw signals as-is — vendor string, platform, connection type, CPU core count — without trying to identify anything. My Browser Information instead runs your user agent through a parser to answer "what browser and OS am I actually running" with a clean name and version, the same summary a support agent would ask for.

What if I just have a user-agent string to decode, not my own browser?

Use the User Agent Parser instead — paste any User-Agent string (yours or one pulled from a server log) and get the same browser/OS/device breakdown, including bot detection, without needing to be running that browser yourself.

Is anything sent to your servers?

No. Every value is read and parsed with client-side JavaScript and stays in your browser. Copying the report puts it on your clipboard only — nothing is transmitted anywhere.
