This generator draws on Greek mythology, literature and everyday tradition to produce names that sound genuinely Hellenic — and, crucially, tells you what each one means, because a Greek name without its meaning is only half the name.
It spans the register from the mythic (Cassandra, Orion) to the classical and the modern-traditional, with both masculine and feminine forms following real Greek naming conventions.
How to use it
Length shifts the register. Short forms (Nikos, Elena, Ari) read as familiar, everyday, the name a friend would use. Longer full forms (Alexandra, Demetrios, Theodora) read as formal and traditional — the name on the certificate, often carrying a saint's or hero's weight behind it.
