Guides
Convert a Kindle MOBI or AZW3 ebook into a standard EPUB file that opens in Apple Books, Kobo, Calibre, Google Play Books and most other readers. The conversion runs in your browser, so the book is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Drop a .mobi or .azw3 file onto the upload box.
- Press Convert to EPUB.
- Download
book.epub.
What is carried over
- The book's title, author, publisher, description and language.
- All chapters in reading order, with a generated table of contents.
- Images, embedded stylesheets and the cover.
Limits
- DRM-protected books (most purchases from the Kindle store) can't be read and are rejected. Only DRM-free files convert.
- Kindle-specific internal links are dropped, since they have no meaning outside the original file. Footnote and cross-reference jumps may therefore not work in the EPUB.
- Complex fixed-layout books (comics, children's picture books) are not reproduced faithfully.
Frequently asked questions
Is my book uploaded anywhere? No. Everything happens on your device.
Does it handle AZW3? Yes — the same tool reads both MOBI and AZW3 (KF8) files.
Why does the EPUB look plainer than the original? The converter keeps the book's own styles, but device-specific Kindle layout rules have no EPUB equivalent.
