How to use it
- Upload a PDF file. Its current title, author, subject, keywords, creator, and producer are read and filled into the form automatically.
- Edit any field you want to change. Fields with no existing value start blank.
- Press Save changes. The updated file downloads automatically.
Why does this matter?
A PDF's document properties show up in file browsers, search results, and "Document Info" panels — an outdated title, a former employee listed as author, or leftover keywords from an old draft all make a file look unpolished or, worse, leak information you didn't mean to share. Editing them directly fixes the properties without needing the original authoring software.
What's the difference between this and other "edit PDF metadata" tools?
Most start from a blank form, so changing one field means retyping every other one from memory or losing it. This tool reads the file's existing metadata first and pre-fills the form with it, so you only touch the fields you actually want to change — nothing is silently overwritten.
Will this affect the PDF's content or pages?
No — only the document properties are touched. Every page, image, and piece of text in the file is left exactly as it was.
Does this remove metadata instead of editing it?
No — for stripping metadata entirely (including embedded XMP data), use Remove PDF Metadata instead. This tool is for changing the values, not deleting them.
