Add Text to PDF
Type text onto a PDF — pick the page, position, font and color, then download the result. Runs entirely in your browser; your file is never uploaded.
Input
Adding text runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
e.g. 1, 1,3, or 1-3,5-end to stamp the same text on several pages.
PDF with text
Upload a PDF, type your text, choose a position, and press Add text. The preview updates live as you change settings — download it when you're ready.
Guides
Add Text to PDF types custom text — a note, a label, a stamp, a short message — onto a PDF's pages, right in your browser. Upload a file, write your text, pick where it should sit, and download the result. No signup, no watermark, and nothing ever leaves your device.
How to use it
- Drop or browse for a PDF file.
- Type the text you want to add. Multiple lines are supported — each line is drawn on its own row.
- Choose the page(s) to stamp, like
1or1,3,5-7. - Pick a position from the 3×3 grid (top/middle/bottom, left/center/right), a font, size, and color.
- A live preview updates automatically as you adjust settings — no need to press anything. Use View or Download once you're happy with it, as
text-added.pdf.
Why add text in the browser?
Most online "add text to PDF" tools upload your document to a server just to draw a line of text. This one does the whole job locally using the pdf-lib library, so contracts, forms and anything else private stay on your device — there's no upload or download round-trip.
Can I add the same text to every page?
Yes — enter every page number (e.g. 1-10) in the pages field, and the same text is stamped at the same position on each one.
I need a repeating diagonal watermark instead of a single label
That's a different placement style — see Watermark PDF, which tiles semi-transparent text or an image across every page.
What if my PDF is password-protected?
A PDF with an owner lock but no open password usually loads fine. A file that requires a password just to open must be unlocked first — use the Unlock PDF tool, then add your text to the result.
Your file is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded.
