How to use it
- Drop or browse for a PDF file.
- Pick a rotation: 90° clockwise, 180°, or 270° (90° counter-clockwise).
- Optionally enter a page range like
1-3, 5to rotate only those pages. Leave it blank to rotate every page. - Press Rotate PDF. The corrected file downloads automatically as
rotated.pdf.
Why rotate PDFs in the browser?
Most online PDF rotators upload your documents to a server first. This one does the whole job locally using the pdf-lib library, so contracts, scans, and anything else private stay on your computer. There's no upload or download round-trip, so rotating is near-instant even for large files.
Does it rotate all pages or just some?
By default, every page rotates by the angle you pick. To rotate only certain pages, type a page range (like 2, 4-6) into the Pages field before pressing Rotate PDF — the rest of the pages are left exactly as they are.
Is the rotation permanent?
The rotation is saved into the PDF's page metadata, so it displays correctly in any PDF viewer and stays applied when the file is printed, shared, or edited further. If a page already had some rotation applied (common with scanned documents), the new rotation is added on top of it rather than replacing it, so the result matches what you'd expect from stacking rotations.
What if my PDF is password-protected?
A PDF with an owner lock but no open password usually rotates fine. A PDF that requires a password just to open must be unlocked first — use the Unlock PDF tool, then rotate the result.
