Input
Higher bitrate = better quality, bigger file. 128–192 kbps suits most music; 64–96 kbps is fine for speech.
MP3 audio

What Extract Audio from Video does
Upload a video — MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM or AVI — and get just its soundtrack back as a standard MP3. It's handy for saving a lecture, a podcast recorded as video, or a clip's music. Everything happens in your browser; the video is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Upload a video file.
- Choose a bitrate (128–192 kbps suits most music, 64–96 kbps is fine for speech) and optionally mix down to mono.
- Click Convert to MP3, preview the result, then download it.
Good to know
The audio is decoded by your browser's built-in decoder, so if your browser can play the video's sound it can extract it. Rare codecs (AC3, DTS) may fail — re-save the video with AAC audio first. Long videos are decoded fully in memory, so very large files may be slow on low-memory devices.
Privacy
Decoding and MP3 encoding both run on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
