Cut an animated GIF down to just the part you want — trim off the intro, trim off the ending, or keep only a slice in the middle — by frame number or by time. Your upload shows in its own Uploaded GIF preview as soon as you pick it, right above the Trimmed GIF result, so you can compare the two once you run the tool.
How it works
Upload an animated GIF, choose how you want to specify the range, then set a start and end:
- Position (%) — the default. Drag the Start position and End position sliders to a percent of the whole animation (0% is the very first frame, 100% is the very last) — no need to know the GIF's actual frame count first.
- Time (seconds) — enter a Start time and/or End time in seconds instead. Since a GIF's frames don't all play for the same length of time, a time value is rounded to whichever frame is actually on screen at that instant — the same rounding every GIF-cutting tool has to do.
Frames outside the kept range are dropped entirely; every frame inside it keeps its original pixels and delay untouched. Loop forever is checked by default, so the trimmed GIF loops indefinitely — uncheck it to make it play once and stop.

Privacy
The GIF is processed on our server, not in your browser — that's what makes multi-frame decoding and re-encoding possible without a heavy in-browser library. It's used only to produce your result and isn't stored afterward. This uses one credit per run, including on the website itself.
Can I cut out a chunk from the middle and keep both ends instead?
Not in one pass — this tool keeps one continuous range and drops everything outside it, which covers trimming the start, trimming the end, or narrowing to a middle slice, but not deleting a middle chunk while keeping both sides. For that, run this tool once to keep the first part, run it again on the original to keep the last part, then join the two results with GIF Combiner.
What happens if I set a start position past the end position?
The tool won't let you — the end slider (or end time) is validated to stay at or after the start one. A direct API call that somehow sends a reversed range gets the two swapped automatically rather than an empty result.
I want to resize, speed up, or otherwise edit the GIF too — can I do that here?
Not in one pass — this tool only cuts the frame range. For pixel/timing edits (resize, crop, rotate, speed, reverse, optimize), use GIF Editor — run either tool first and feed its result back into the other.
