Higher bitrate = sharper picture, bigger file. The video is re-encoded in real time, so conversion takes as long as the clip.

What Video Cutter does

Cut a video down to just the part you need — remove a slow intro, a shaky ending or anything in between the start and end points. It runs in your browser, so the video is never uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Upload a video (MP4, MOV, WebM and most other formats your browser can play).
  2. Drag the two handles under the preview to choose where the clip starts and ends.
  3. Pick a video quality — lower means a smaller file.
  4. Click Cut video, preview the result, then download it.

Good to know

Your browser plays the selected range and records it, so cutting takes about as long as the clip you keep — keep the tab open. The result is re-encoded, so it is a lossy copy. If the browser can't record MP4, it saves WebM instead and says so.

Privacy

Playback and encoding happen on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
