Give a photo the warm, saturated look of classic Kodachrome film — the Kodachrome Effect tool applies a fixed color-grading matrix modeled on the stock's signature reds and greens, with separate controls for intensity, contrast and color vibrance, so you can dial in anything from a subtle tint to the full film look.
How it works
Upload an image, then adjust three sliders:
- Effect Intensity — how strongly the Kodachrome color grade is applied, from no change (0%) to the full effect (100%).
- Contrast — pulls shadows and highlights further apart or flattens them.
- Color Vibrance — boosts or mutes how saturated the colors look.
The result renders instantly as you adjust the sliders. You can download the result as an SVG file, or copy its source markup directly.
Tips
- Effect Intensity around 70–100% gives the most recognizable Kodachrome look — lower it for a lighter tint over the original photo.
- A touch of positive contrast (already the default) helps the film grade read as punchy rather than flat.
- Push Color Vibrance up for landscapes and travel photos where Kodachrome's rich reds and greens are the whole point; pull it down if skin tones start looking oversaturated.
- The downloaded SVG stays crisp at any size since it's a vector wrapper around your original image — resizing it doesn't lose quality the way a rasterized export would.
