Give a photo that "miniature model" look — the Tilt Shift Effect tool keeps a narrow band of your image sharp while blurring everything else, mimicking the shallow depth of field of a macro or tilt-shift lens. Adjust the blur strength, the size and position of the sharp band, and whether it runs horizontally or vertically.
How it works
Upload an image, then adjust the controls:
- Blur Amount — how strongly the out-of-focus areas are blurred, from a light haze to a heavy blur.
- Focus Area — how wide the sharp band is; lower values create a narrower, more dramatic "miniature" sharp strip.
- Focus Position — where the sharp band sits along the image, from one edge (0) to the other (100).
- Orientation — whether the sharp band runs horizontally across the photo (top-to-bottom position) or vertically (left-to-right position). Horizontal suits typical landscape shots; vertical suits photos with a strong left-right subject.
The result renders instantly as you adjust the controls. You can download the result as an SVG file, or copy its source markup directly.
Tips
- A narrow Focus Area (10–25%) combined with a strong Blur Amount gives the most convincing "miniature scale model" illusion.
- For architecture or landscape photos shot straight-on, Horizontal orientation with the Focus Position centered on the main subject usually looks most natural.
- The downloaded SVG stays crisp at any size since it's a vector wrapper around your original image — resizing it doesn't lose quality the way a rasterized export would.
