Guides
Crop PDF trims a percentage of margin off the edges of a PDF's pages, right in your browser. Set the margins to remove, optionally limit it to a page range, and download the trimmed file — no signup, no watermark, and nothing ever leaves your device.
How to use it
- Drop or browse for a PDF file.
- Set the margin to trim from each side. Leave Same margin on all sides on for one shared slider, or switch it off to set Top, Bottom, Left, and Right independently.
- Optionally enter a page range like
1-3, 5to crop only those pages. Leave it blank to crop every page. - Press Crop PDF. The trimmed file downloads automatically as
cropped.pdf.
Why crop PDFs in the browser?
Most online PDF croppers upload your documents to a server first. This one does the whole job locally using the pdf-lib library, so contracts, scans, and anything else private stay on your computer. There's no upload or download round-trip, so cropping is near-instant even for large files.
How are the margins measured?
Each margin is a percentage of that page's own width or height — Top/Bottom are a share of the page height, Left/Right a share of the page width — so the crop scales correctly across pages of different sizes in the same document, rather than trimming a fixed number of inches that would cut too much off a small page or too little off a large one.
Is the crop permanent?
Yes. Unlike a viewer-only "crop box" hint that some tools ignore, this shrinks the page itself, so the trimmed area is gone in every viewer, on print, and in any tool that reprocesses the file afterward.
What if my PDF is password-protected?
A PDF with an owner lock but no open password usually crops fine. A PDF that requires a password just to open must be unlocked first — use the Unlock PDF tool, then crop the result.
I need to remove whole pages, not just margins
Use Delete PDF Pages to drop specific pages, or Split PDF to break a document into separate files.
Your file is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded.
