How to use it
- Upload a PDF.
- Leave Tagged watermarks and Watermark annotations on — these catch watermarks that Acrobat, Word, LibreOffice and most PDF libraries mark as watermarks.
- If the watermark is plain page text that isn't tagged, type its wording into Text to remove. Every text object containing that phrase is deleted (case-insensitive), including tiled copies.
- Press Remove watermark. The result tells you how many items were removed; download the new PDF.
What it can and can't remove
It removes watermarks that live in the page's content stream, in form XObjects the page uses, or in watermark/stamp annotations. It cannot remove a watermark that has been flattened into an image — for example a scanned page, or a logo baked into a picture — and text in subsetted fonts may not be matchable by wording (try the tagged option). If nothing was found, the tool says so rather than handing back an unchanged file.
Only remove watermarks from documents you own or have permission to edit.
